2014 Preceptors of the Year

The University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy would like to congratulate and recognize the 2014 Preceptors of the Year for their dedication to students and excellence in experiential education.

Richard Randolph earned a PharmD at the University of Tennessee and is certified in diabetes mellitus and asthma education, as well as immunizations. He has been with Marcrom’s Pharmacy in Manchester for 18 years where they precept advanced community APPEs with housing.

Gale Hamann earned a PharmD at the University of Nebraska and is an associate professor of Clinical Pharmacy. He has 16 peer-reviewed publications and has contributed 9 book chapters. He is with Regional One Health in Memphis providing anticoagulation lectures and precepts ambulatory care APPEs.

Jeanne Ezell earned a BSPharm at the University of Tennessee and a Masters at the University of Kansas. She has been the Director of Pharmacy at Blount Memorial Hospital for more than 20 years and is an assistant professor of Clinical Pharmacy. She is a preceptor for IPPE institutional and Advanced Institutional and Institutional Management APPEs. She is the past president of TSHP and is a Fellow of ASHP. She has received a number of awards including: TPA Pharmacist of the Year in 2008, TSHP Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award in 2009, APhA Award for Antibiotic Stewardship in 2011, Harold Godwin Leadership Legacy Award in 2011, and Health Hero Award in 2012.

Lance Morgan earned a PharmD at the University of Tennessee and he is an assistant professor of Clinical Pharmacy for Applied Therapeutics and experiential education. He has worked at the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute for six and a half years and is currently the Director of Pharmacy. He is a preceptor for institutional IPPEs and mental Health APPEs.
