Residency match data for Class of 2014 have been released. Once again, UTCOP shows its dedication to producing well-qualified residency candidates. For PGY1 residencies, UT was in the top 10% of all colleges in the nation for number of students who initially matched, with 40 graduates matching across the country. Only 13 colleges of pharmacy in the nation produced more residents this year, and only 4 of those 13 had a higher match percentage rate than UT’s 75.5% percent matched. Final data show that 44 UT graduates, 35% of the class, will be completing a residency next year. For PGY2 residencies, UT had a 90% match rate, with 9 residents matching. Only 8 other colleges of pharmacy had more PGY2 residents match, but only 3 of those 8 colleges had a higher percentage of matched PGY2 residents.
