Michael Christensen, PharmD, professor of Clinical Pharmacy, was featured on the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) website and on the cover of Pharmacy Today in April. He was recognized for his service as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, where he helped implement and develop the pediatric clinical research unit. Dr. Christensen specializes in developing and conducting clinical trials in pediatric patients, specifically evaluating pharmacokinetic differences in children versus adults. His most current research involves an assessment of drug labels containing pediatric-specific language and how that language affects prescribing patterns.
